HOW TO BOOK TRAVEL AS AN INDEPENDENT TRAVEL AGENT (OUTSIDE TRAVEL AGENT) FOR HOSTWAY TRAVEL

Earn commissions on travel for you and your family,friends,organizations, and groups.

Selling Cruises

1.    Call the cruise line office on the toll free 800 number.  State you are (your first name) from Hostway Travel at phone number (954) 966-8500 and fax number (954) 966-7815.  Our IATAN number if needed is 10698855.

2.    Hold space with an option generally from 2 to 7 days for the amount required for deposit or full payment.  Also ask about cancellation insurance.

       Give details to cruise line of clients names and write down departure date, ship name, rate, cabin (or guarantee) and dining preference.

3.     Fax information to Hostway Travel (954 966 7815) once credit card is received and call cruise line with credit card for deposit or full payment.

        Include credit card number to Hostway Travel.

        Let client be aware of cancellation penalties and proof of citizenship needed to board cruise.

        Call Hostway Travel so booking can be logged with your name and phone number.

Selling Tours and Packages

1.    Tour Packages are available to every destination and offer a wide variety of prices and features.  Hostway Travel has preferred suppliers for different destinations or most brochures found at any travel agency may be booked through Hostway Travel.

2.    Be aware of citizenship and cancellation pentalties.

3.     Follow cruise format.

Airline Tickets

1.    Do Not give credit card information to airlines unless Hostway Travel says it is okay.  In most instances after booking a reservation, get a confirmation number and call Hostway Travel with credit card number.  Be aware of penalties, dates, origion and destination.

2.    Please add a charge of $10.00 per ticket which is part of the commission.

3.    Car Rentals and Hotels

        Call and hold a reservation stating you are (your first name) from Hostway Travel, phone number (954) 966-8500 and IATAN number 10698855.  You can guarantee with a credit card and get a hold without a credit card.  Make sure you have the confirmation number.  Call Hostway Travel and fax information.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

You will receive your commissions around the 20th of the month following travel.

Your commissions will start at 50% of the total commision that Hostway Travel receives which ranges form 5% for air travel to 15% to 20% for cruises and tours.

You may print business cards (at your expense)

Special trade discounts apply and are based upon your sales commissions.
